  • Why should I shop here?
    Every time you begin your shopping here, you earn Good Sam “Smiles”. You simply click on a merchant's listing and you'll earn Smiles for the purchases you make during that session.
  • Can I go directly to a merchant's web site? Or do I always have to start here?
    In order to receive credit, you must begin your shopping here every time. It's the only way we can track your purchases.
  • When will the Smiles I've earned appear in my account?
    The amount of time between when you place your order with a merchant and when your Smiles appear in your account can vary widely, depending on the merchant. It can take up to 45 days to appear in your account, but we’ll send you an email confirming it so you don’t have to worry about it!
  • Do I get Smiles every time I shop, or just the first time?
    You get Smiles every time you shop, when you start your shopping session here.
  • Do I get Smiles for anything I buy?
    Usually. Some merchants may have exceptions where they do not offer Smiles for all of their products and services. Gift certificates often are not eligible for Smiles. Also in general taxes and shipping fees are not eligible for Smiles. You can get specific details on the information page for each merchant. To find the merchant information page for a merchant, click on the "more info" link on any shopping category page.
  • How do I know what my Smiles balance is?
    Click on “My Shopping Mall Account” from the Good Sam Shopping Mall home page to see your latest balance and activity.
  • What happens to the Smiles I've earned if I have to return a purchase?
    The Smiles will be deducted from your account if you have already been credited for the purchase. Usually, however, any returns will be completed before the Smiles initially appear in your account.
  • There seems to be a discrepancy between what I've been credited and what I thought I would be credited.   What do I do?

  • How do you know when I've made a purchase from a supporting merchant?
    We keep track of who you are by writing a "cookie" to your computer. Cookies are completely safe and do not contain any of your personal information. We pass an identification number to to the merchant so they can tell us how [much to credit you].
  • Does the shopping area access my personal information?
    No. We only keep track of your user id and where you shop, so we can properly credit Smiles to your account.
  • Do I need a coupon code to take advantage of special offers?
    In some cases you do. The coupon code will be given to you along with the special offer.
  • How do I know how many Smiles I will receive from each purchase I make?
    You will earn a different amount from each merchant, depending on what you buy at that merchant's site. We show you an estimated range. View the merchant's information page for specific details. We do not guarantee a specific amount. The amount displayed in the mall is an estimate.
  • What does it mean if it shows a range (e.g. 2-5 Smiles/$)?
    The number of Smiles earned varies depending on the products you purchase from that merchant. See the merchant's information page for more details. You can view the merchant's information page by clicking on the "more info" link on any product category page.
  • Why do I have to have Javascript enabled in my browser to use this shopping mall?   Is it safe?
    Javascript is a programming language that helps us display dynamic information on the site. The mall will not function without it. You can be assured that our Javascript code is completely safe.
  • I am a merchant and want to get my site listed in the mall.   How do I do that?
    Please contact Mall Networks, the company that operates the mall.
